Logistics

Being well prepared logistics-wise can make all the difference in a performance. The performance itself is enough to think about; no musician should worry about scheduling logistics on performance day! Please consider the following when planning for a performance at the ECCCC to ensure a comfortable and beneficial experience.

Logistics

From the official Lobby Music Guidelines

University Hospital Lobby Hours: Mon.-Fri., 5:00am-9:00pm, Sat & Sun., 8:00am-9:00pm

Emily Couric Cancer Center Hours: Mon.-Fri., 8:00am-5:00pm

•   All musicians must have prior experience and proficiency; we are striving to create a pleasant, welcoming environment.

•   Musicians must be scheduled with volunteer services and on the calendar beforehand.

•   Volume carries more than expected, so play softly. People should be able to carry on a conversation around you. If asked to play softer, please respectfully comply.

•   Musicians may audition and schedule a time to play with the volunteer office.

•   Drop in Musicians: We are unable to accommodate drop in musicians at this time.

When you arrive:

•   Sign in the Lobby Music Binder located at the information desk

•   Obtain key to unlock the piano

•   Neatly fold piano cover and place beside, under, or near bench. Avoid placing cover on lobby seating. Keep piano lid closed.

•   Play secular music (non-religious), an occasional religious song is permitted, but not continuous play. Use a variety of music to fit a variety of backgrounds.

•   When finished, place cover on piano, return key to information desk, and sign out. Know that we are grateful for your time & talent.
